Hundreds of fully-vaccinated international students will start returning to NSW by the end of this year and will complete their 14-day quarantine period in Redfern in inner Sydney, although vaccine restrictions will mean students from key markets in China and Nepal are not likely to be among them.
The pilot program will require students to be vaccinated with Therapeutic Goods Administration-recognised vaccines including:
- Pfizer;
- Johnson and Johnson;
- Moderna;
- AstraZeneca.
Chinese international students who may have received the Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccine will not be eligible at this stage.
