1,000 Work and Holiday Program places for young Indians

On 30 November 2022, the Albanese Government welcomed the confirmation that the Indian Government had completed its domestic requirements to enable completion of the historic Australia-India Economic Cooperation and Trade Agreement (ECTA).

This ground-breaking trade agreement between Australia and India is set to deliver new market access opportunities for several Australian businesses and consumers from 29 December 2022.

A thousand places have been made available to young and adventurous Indians under the Work and Holiday Program.

Additionally, high-performing science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) Indian students graduating in Australia will have access to a bonus year of stay on their post-study work visa.

I am truly thankful that I found Visa and Citizenship Lawyers online via a Facebook group when my partner and I were separated for over two years during the border lockdowns. My partner and I decided to engage Adam and his team in July 2022.
